PARTICIPANT CODE OF CONDUCT

All players of the Chicago Inter Handball Club (hereinafter referred to as CIHC) must agree to abide by the

following Code of Conduct. Your signature below constitutes your acknowledgement that you have read and will

abide by the Code while representing your club at all practices and competitions. These rules will be enforced by

club coaches and Board of Directors. Breach of the code of conduct could also result in forfeit of membership and

membership dues.

I, , as a member of the Chicago Inter Handball Club agree:

To comply with the rules set down by the coach/team leader to matters such as but not limited to, attitude on and off the court, conduct during practices, scrimmages, official games, moral conduct, group morale, discipline or conduct during any public appearances.
To avoid any action or conduct that would reasonably be expected to disrupt or interfere with competition, with any athlete's preparation for or during competition, the disruption or interference with any team members under the management of the CIHC or its officials.
To do nothing unbecoming that will bring criticism directly or indirectly against CIHC, any of its teams or any of its team members, volunteers or supporters.
To commit no act(s) which would reasonably be considered as gross misbehavior or unsportsmanlike conduct.
To not interrupt practices or games with complete disregard for team mates, coaches, family members and spectators. Any differences of opinion should be discussed before or after practices/games in a respectful manner.
To respect coaches and Board members’ decisions. Should there be decisions that you do not agree with, those opinions can be discussed outside of practice with coaches, board member, or at the members’ meetings.
Respect the format of the practices and the coaches decision as to whether there is time to play or just to practice.
To not discriminate, bully or otherwise mistreat any club representative, teammate, official, opponent or spectator based on color, faith, gender or sexual orientation.

In the event of breach of the Code of Conduct, I understand that the CIHC's Board of Directors, advised by the

club's coach, team leader or manager, may in light of the severity of the transgression(s) and/or the number of times

I have been involved in disciplinary action, asses any of the following sanctions:

Full or partial restriction of participation in Club's practices and competitions.
Immediate removal from the practice and/or any competition.
Any other disciplinary measures that the CIHC's Board of Directors decides are appropriate under the disciplinary procedures adopted by the CHIC.
Revoke my membership and retain my membership dues.
